A message from Mayor Jeff Walik

Happy Fall to all our Stickney residents! Enjoy this beautiful time of year with the changing of the colors and autumn-like weather.

We had a very productive summer in the village and fall will continue to be as busy.
Tree trimming is beginning. If your parkway tree needs to be trimmed, please call the Village Hall at 708-749-4400 X526 to have your address put on the tree trimming list. The leaf pick-up program will begin in the next couple of weeks on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Make sure that you follow the signs on your block and please refrain from parking on the street on your designated pick-up day from 8:00am – until leaf pick has been completed on your block.

Once again, we will be doing some road work improvement projects. Gunderson Avenue will be re-surfaced from the 3900 block to 4200 block. Also, to be resurface will be, 43rd Street from Oak Park Avenue to Clinton Avenue.

We have a small but new walking path along Ridgeland Avenue at 41st St. Make sure you check it out and go for a walk.

Finally, mark your calendar on Saturday, October 16th at 43rd St. and Ridgeland from 7pm-9pm for the annual pumpkin patch (free pumpkins to residents only) and we will be selling food and drinks at a nominal fee.

Have a great fall season!
