Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission
The parks and recreation advisory commission consist of nine voting members, with general recreational interest, appointed by the village president with the advice and consent of the board of trustees. The chairperson is elected annually by the nine voting members from among the regular voting members. The commission also includes one non-voting member from the board of trustees.
The commission is responsible for the; recommending of new recreational programs and creative leisure time activities, recommending a fee structure, identifying present and future recreational needs for the village, establishing a working relationship with other youth service agencies, providing and finding persons with skills and abilities to offer in service to youth and other recreational programs, serving as a forum in which youth-related issues can be discussed.
