Ordinance Control Section

The Ordinance Control Section is part of the Stickney Police Department. The purpose of the Ordinance Control Section is to help the residents with neighborhood complaints.

Overflowing garbage and weeds are the two largest complaints received. Inspections are done throughout the year.

Some of the local ordinance violations are: garbage, weeds, trees, vehicles parked on soft surfaces, abandoned vehicles (unmoved over 7 days), no permits, creating nuisances and people not cleaning up after their dogs.

We also have a Blight Department that handles all structural complaints. An example would be windows in need of repair or painting.

The Stickney Township also offers services to Stickney residents. The Stickney Health Department covers all restaurant, swimming pool, heating and rodent complaints. The Animal Warden handles all dog calls and bites. You can visit their website at www.townshipofstickney.org or www.stickneypublichealthdistrict.org. You can also call 708-424-9200 for assistance.
